This Privacy Policy explains how Orbitcheck ("Orbitcheck," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects Personal Data when you visit our websites, use our APIs, SDKs, connectors, and dashboards (the "Services"), or otherwise interact with us. It also describes your privacy rights and how to exercise them.

1. Who We Are and Scope
Orbitcheck provides API-first data hygiene and validation for ecommerce: addresses, phones, emails, EU VAT, and ES–LATAM tax IDs with deduplication, entity resolution, and risk-driven order controls.
This Policy applies to: (a) visitors to our websites and people who interact with our marketing or sales (we act as a controller); and (b) customers and their end users whose Personal Data is submitted to the Services (we generally act as a processor/service provider on behalf of our customers). For processor activities, our Data Processing Addendum governs.
2. Personal Data We Collect
The Personal Data we process depends on how you interact with us and which features you use.
- Account and Contact Data: name, company, role, email, phone, login identifiers, workspace/user IDs.
- Service (Customer) Data: data you submit to validate or deduplicate, such as names, emails, phone numbers, shipping/billing addresses, and supported identifiers (e.g., EU VAT IDs, ES NIF/NIE, BR CPF/CNPJ, MX RFC, AR CUIT, CL RUT, PE RUC/DNI). We also generate structured reason codes, match scores, and risk signals.
- Transaction and Billing Data: subscription tier, invoices, tax/VAT numbers, and payment status. Card data is processed by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
- Technical and Usage Data: IP address, device/browser/user agent, API keys/IDs, request metadata, logs, diagnostics, and event telemetry needed to secure and operate the Services.
- Support Content: information you send to support, including attachments or screenshots.
3. How We Use Personal Data
- Provide, maintain, validate, deduplicate, and improve the Services.
- Secure the Services, prevent abuse and fraud, and ensure integrity and availability.
- Operate account management, billing, and customer support.
- Develop new features and perform analytics using de-identified or aggregated data.
- Send service and transactional communications; send product updates or marketing where permitted.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce terms.
4. How We Share Personal Data
- Subprocessors/Service Providers that host, store, or process data for us.
- Integrations You Authorize (e.g., Shopify/Woo/BigCommerce connectors).
- Professional Advisors (legal, auditors) under confidentiality.
- Legal/Compliance when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
- Corporate Transactions (merger, acquisition, financing).
We do not sell or share Personal Data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Retention
We retain Personal Data only as long as necessary for the purposes described. For Service Data, retention is configurable by plan (typically 7–365 days). Ephemeral caches and logs are short-lived and purged regularly.
6. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request: access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and to object to certain processing. We honor browser-based Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where legally required.
